Career Development Centre

Project Donors

In October 2020, approximately 1 year after its launch, Bermuda College Foundation (BCF) entered into a strategic philanthropic partnership with Athene Holding Ltd. and its reinsurance subsidiary, Athene Life Re. Ltd., in addition to Athora Holding Ltd., Aspen Insurance Holdings Limited and Catalina Holdings (Bermuda) Ltd., to create a Career Development Centre (CDC). This $3.8 million renovation project and technology upgrade at Bermuda College (BC) is a great investment towards the Foundation’s $15 million Capital Campaign. For information about why your support matters, you may view the Foundation’s Case for Support Brochure.

Benefits to the Community

In the Fall of 2021, this state-of-the-art Career Development Centre will open as an excellent resource for BC students, faculty and staff as well as Bermuda residents, providing modernised, technology-centered instructional spaces, as a foundational element to ensuring Bermudians have the necessary skills to compete in the global economy. Users of the Centre will be immersed in vital business trends, such as Fintech, Cybersecurity, the Internet of Things (IoT), machine-learning activities and more, using cutting-edge technology.

About the Renovation

The 3,542 square foot Career Development Centre will be created by the addition of a new floor on a portion of Hallett Hall and the renovation of the existing space. The building enhancements include upgrades to the existing facilities and infrastructure as well as the introduction of additional, modernised spaces and resources.
