The Athene Career Development Centre and the renovated lecture theatre represent prototypes of what Bermuda College envisions for all its instructional and office spaces. With its adaptive technologies, robotics and collaborative spaces, the Centre allows for the exploration of ideas, the testing of concepts, and multi-disciplinary collaboration.

BF&M Limited announced a $75,000 donation to Bermuda College Foundation to help to support its ongoing mandate to provide alternative sources of funding to Bermuda College.

Bermuda College Foundation announced today that construction of the state-of-the-art Career Development Centre at Bermuda College is on schedule despite the challenging environment. The recent $3.8 million donation by several Bermuda-based (re)insurers being Athene Life Re Ltd., a reinsurance subsidiary of Athene Holding Ltd. (“Athene”) (NYSE: ATH), Athora Holding Ltd., Aspen Insurance Holdings Limited and Catalina Holdings (Bermuda) Ltd., represents a significant boost towards achieving the Foundation’s vision that Bermuda College students will one day benefit from a ‘fully funded, state-of-the-art College’.

Bermuda College Foundation is taking time to honour the accomplishments of Bermuda College, which include providing opportunities for many who have helped to form the fabric of the Bermuda community. On Friday May 21, 2021 Bermuda College Foundation, in conjunction with the Bermuda College Alumni Advisory Council, will host its first Bermuda College (BC) Community Day to celebrate our only community college.

Bermuda College Foundation announced today that construction of the state-of-the-art Career Development Centre at Bermuda College has officially commenced. The project was made possible after a $3.5 million donation by several Bermuda-based (re)insurers including Athene Life Re Ltd., a reinsurance subsidiary of Athene Holding Ltd. (“Athene”) (NYSE: ATH), Athora Holding Ltd., Aspen Insurance Holdings Limited and Catalina Holdings (Bermuda) Ltd. The four companies have also committed an additional $300,000 of funding for the Centre bringing the total donation amount to $3.8 million.

The Bermuda College Foundation received a $100,000 grant from Bank of Bermuda Foundation to help students in financial need in the upcoming school year. Funds will also help returning students who may have difficulty paying outstanding fees from this academic year as a result of Covid-19.

The Bermuda College Foundation was officially launched at a reception at Government House, with the Foundation aiming to develop philanthropic partnerships throughout the community on behalf of the College.
